Vermont Rowing

Founded in 1986, Vermont Rowing is a co-ed club program at the University of Vermont. We are one of the top club rowing organizations in the Northeast, medaling at major regattas such as the Head Of The Charles Regatta, New England Rowing Championships, ACRA National Championship Regatta, and Dad Vails.

Who We Are

(Worcester, MA) The team at New England Rowing Championships on May 4, 2024

On our team, rowers are pushed hard every day to be the best athletes, students, and teammates they can be. Whether we are on the water or in the classroom, you can always count on us to put in the work. We spend our Fall and Spring seasons commuting up to the Lamoille River in the early hours of the morning to get a full-length practice in before classes start. On our winter off-season, expect to find our crew cross training indoors at the fitness center or erging at Mann Hall.

No matter what level of experience or ability, any student has a place on our team.

MEET THE TEAM:

“Our team is both competitive and supportive. We compete against each other for boat seats, but we also have each others backs. Some of my closest friends have come from this program.”
- Nick Beal ‘21

“Joining this team was the best decision I’ve made while at UVM. ”
- Chloe Ott ‘23

“The team has great energy… It’s like a huge family. It’s intense, but in the best way, and it gets a little chaotic, but it’s always worth it in the end, because there’s always people to support you. Everyone’s in the same boat!”
- Lynnsey Trabka, ‘21
